Read Proverbs 31:10-31 here and then come right back so we can talk about it . . .
I’ve decided to name this woman Lailah (it just came to me and I went with it). Ok but is she serious? For realz, Lailah? You want me to be like you and do all that stuff you do?
Based on Lailah’s example I need to:
- Learn to sew
- Step my vitamin game up, so I have the energy to wake up early but go to bed late
- Negotiate property deals
- Garden
- Hit the gym for strength
- Increase my benevolent outreach
- Get new clothes with some silk and purple
- Marry . . .
- A man who is respected by our elders
- Start a side hustle selling goods
- Watch my mouth
- Stop being lazy
- Have some children . . .
- Who sing my praises
As of today, I only do #5 sometimes. I can easily start #2, #6, and #7. Maybe next week. With some serious concentration I can start #4, #10, #11, and #12. Maybe this year. When the time comes I think #14 will take care of itself. However, #3, #8, #9, and #12 will have to involve divine intervention . . . without which #14 will be inconsequential.
Jesus be a baby daddy! (Though I’m not prepared to be the mother of THE savior).
Lailah is on point. I want to be on point too. Ya’ll pray for me.
